We-are-wild about bringing people together in community through our love of horticulture, food, creativity and social action.
Our work uplifts, inspires and creates shared experiences that ignites creativity, nurtures good health and fosters cohesive communities.
We’re passionate about exploring and transforming the cycle of exchange that connects us to each other and to the environments we inhabit. People say that we're really good at finding new and better ways to enjoy, care and learn from and with each other.
Our mission is to create vibrant, happy and greener neighbourhoods and places of work and learning. We deliver our programmes in partnership with local creatives who share our vision for using arts, gardening and culture as a tool for health, social progress and representation.
We have 4 'make it' programmes. The impact helps communities come together and self organise to experience joy and agency. We're committed to improving the social determinants of health, reducing inequalities and providing lifelong skills.
And of course we do this with a good dose of we-are-wild creative magic that just makes you feel good!
We believe that we come alive in nature and it draws us closer to our authentic selves.
Our services inspire communities to get active through gardening and our work is both transformative and therapeutic.
We craft spaces in the public realm, with schools, businesses and health providers. We do this by awakening a joy in horticulture via good engagement and support.
Nature heals, inspires and nurtures us whilst feeding us too! We create productive and sustainable biodiverse gardens and green spaces. Our mantra is,
'we look after nature and nature looks after us. '
Our mission is to improve our relationship to the natural world by supporting people to connect and green urban spaces and grow their own food. We firmly believe that nature is a source of vitality and nourishment and a profound healer and muse. The impact of this work creates a bounty of benefits for the individual, for the community and for nature herself. So let's make it green together!

Make it happen
Social transformation really matters to us.
We innovate by using the arts and creativity to nurture community empowerment and action. Social change is the aim, art is the tool. We do this in the space of climate change adaptation and inclusive education practice, helping people and communities find their voice and influence positive change in their lives.
This helps London’s diverse communities adapt to new challenges and become more resilient, more connected and better represented. We have worked over the long term with global majority communities and create agency with people, many of whom experience significant inequalities.
We help schools develop better cultural curriculum with opportunities to celebrate global cultures, fostering belonging and representation .
We help policy makers create the behaviour change needed for communities to embrace active travel and support businesses to reduce their carbon footprint.
We support communities to get involved with empowering campaigns that affect them.
We delivered air pollution awareness campaigns in local neighbourhoods and the director set up a Healthy Streets programme via CRP working with 19 partners, across 15 London boroughs funded by the Mayor of London.
We celebrate the act of sharing food together.
It’s what binds us as communities and crucially supports a better understanding and appreciation of one another. What’s more, it’s great fun!
We run healthy eating supper clubs in communities and facilitate opportunities for neighbours to cook for the community with our support. This provides a joyous and affordable way to learn about healthy eating, promoting cultural understanding and fostering social integration. These meals are accompanied by cultural music and informal talks by we-are-wild to deepen understanding of our collective community, whilst creating the environment to make new friends.
We promote healthy eating and plant based diets, seeking to create a cycle of food growing and sharing, improving the ecology of our connection to the natural world, to each other and to the places we inhabit.
